Share market update: Infra stocks slip; CG Power slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading in the green in Thursday’s afternoon session.

Shares of CG Power & Industrial Solutions (down 4.72 per cent) , Reliance Power (down 2.7 per cent) , IRB Infrastructure Developers (down 2.66 per cent) , NCC (down 2.6 per cent) , NHPC (down 2.49 per cent) , NBCC (India) (down 2.2 per cent) , CESC (down 2.08 per cent) , Suzlon Energy (down 2.04 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.57 per cent) , Engineers India (down 1.4 per cent) , Adani Power (down 1.33 per cent) , Interglobe Aviation (down 1.16 per cent) , GMR Infrastructure (down 0.84 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 0.64 per cent) , Torrent Power (down 0.64 per cent) , Siemens (down 0.4 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (down 0.23 per cent) , Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 0.22 per cent) , Tata Power Company (down 0.16 per cent) and Container Corporation of India (down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.62 per cent down at 3309.75 around 12:06 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 82.30 points at 12047.2 , while the BSE Sensex was down 281.82 points at 40,916.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SAIL, Bharti Airtel, United Spirits, SBI, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Oil Corp were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
